||The Gerrei is the southern foothills of the mountain range of Gennargentu.
It is an area of highlands nearby the Flumendosa river, between the Campidano plain, the Ogliastra mountains and Sarrabus, the eastern coast of Sardinia.
In Armungia there is a museum system that includes an ethnographic part, an intact “nuraghe” in the top of the village and the historical museum devoted to Emilio and Joyce Lussu.
The area offers the possibility of excursions, ancient walks to the disused mines and visits important archaeological sites about nuragic and pre-nuragic age (Neolithic and Bronze age).
We are 30 km far from the pristine beaches of Colostrai, Feraxi and Capo Ferrato to the south, and the wildest Ogliastra coast to the north.
